Meet Dan

Dan Qiao has enjoyed a vibrant career as a violinist performing in concerts worldwide, including in China, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, and the USA. In 2015 she moved to the USA. Now she is a Doctoral candidate at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati.


Dan has received many honors and awards for her work as a solo and chamber musician, including 1st place at Three Arts Scholarship Competition, and is a multi-time winner of the CCM concerto competition. She is the First prize in Music International grand Prix Adult string at Lincoln Center, NYC. She played a chamber music recital with legendary violinist Maxim Vengerov at Rencontres Musicales Internationales des Graves in 2019. She also played in
Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center (NYC).

 

Dan is also an enthusiastic teacher. She is very patient and punctual. She has taught private students for 14 years. Her students won many competitions and got into famous music colleges in both the USA and China with full scholarships. She focuses on inspiring students to find the beauty and fun in music. She is also teaching how to practice efficiently on the technique. As a bilingual speaker, She can teach in both English and Mandarin. Her teaching style is finding the best way for each different student based on their physical condition and cultural background. She combined the teaching styles from the USA, Asia, and Europe and
made a plan for each student. She is looking forward to students of all ages and levels joining her studio.
