Meet Natalie
Classically trained coloratura soprano, Natalie Almeter, is at home in many different musical genres. She began her musical journey in middle school with church choir and school musicals, and later began singing with Sarasota Youth Opera where she acquired a love of opera and art song. Natalie made her operatic debut with Sarasota Opera as Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro at the age of 18. She went on to continue her studies at the University of Central Florida where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance. After graduating, Natalie sang with Orlando Opera as The Dew Fairy and Sandman in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel before moving to Atlanta, Georgia to earn her master’s degree in Vocal Performance under Richard Clement.
After earning her master’s degree, Natalie moved to Cincinnati with her fiancé to begin the process of auditioning for opera companies and competitions all over the country. In Cincinnati, Natalie is a soprano section leader of the Schola Cantorum at Old Saint Mary’s Catholic Church and has sung with many local organizations including Coro Volante, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, Heri et Hodie, and Cincinnati Fusion Ensemble. Natalie has also studied voice in both Italy and Germany and has been lauded at over ten vocal competitions.
As a music teacher, Natalie has taught a wide variety of students from three-year-old beginners to undergraduate students to senior choir members from churches. As a vocalist, she believes that an emphasis on vocal health and the foundations of singing are building blocks that every singer needs regardless of what genre they pursue
in performance. This rings true for piano as well, where theory and technique are a firm base for reaching
so many musical goals. Natalie is super excited to work with students to help them reach their goals and help them feel their best when they get on stage to perform!
